Frequently Asked Questions

Do you only clean up after dogs?

Our service is generally aimed at dogs as they obviously produce more waste than other pets. However, when we provide our service, we clean up all waste on your lawns and yards.

Do you provide for commercial properties?

Yes, we provide for both domestic and commercial properties. For more information about commercial property pricing, please contact us.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No, we are happy to continue working for you for as long as your require. However, we do have a basic Service Agreement which you must agree to before you start receiving our services. The agreement basically states that you will pay on a monthly basis.

Are there any hidden charges with the service thatI need to worry about?

No, there are no hidden charges involved in our service.

Do I need to be present when you call to provide the service?

No! You do not need to be present. We must have access to the areas to be cleaned though e.g. no locked gates or aggressive dogs. If we call to provide our service and we do not have access to your yards and gardens, and you are not present, we will still charge as normal. Preview our Services page for more information.

What do you do with the dog waste collected?

We put the collected waste into deodorised, biodegradable dog doo bags which are then disposed of safely into your bins, or somehwere else, if you have an alternative. Please note that Scoopthedoo do not remove waste off site.

What kind of tools and equipment do you use?

The tools that we use include pooper scoopers, rakes, biodegradable dog doo bags, sanitising disinfectant and containers. All of our tools are especially made for cleaning up dog waste.

Do you offer the service all year round?

Yes! Your dogs continue to do their business all year round so we do as well. Obviously, there may be rare occasions when heavy snow stops us from travelling to your property. In this case, we will contact you as soon as possible to rearrange our next visit.

Can I arrange a one-time only service?

No! We do not offer a one time only service as we have found in the past that customers tend to allow an extremely large amount of waste to accumulate, and then call us. They then do this every so often.

Is there an extra charge for the first time I use the service?

If a very large amount of waste has accumulated, an extra charge may be added for the first service. Obviously this would be based on how long since you last cleaned your yards and gardens. You can therefore get an idea of whether you will be charged more or not.

How long does it take to clean a yard or garden?

This depends on two factors. The size of the area to be cleaned, and the amount of dog waste there is to be cleaned. On average it only takes a few minutes, providing we service your property on a regular basis.

Can I cut my grass before you call?

Yes! there is nothing wrong with cutting your grass before we call as it makes no difference to how well we can provide our service. If your grass is cut regularly, it helps us provide our service more effectively because we can get every bit of waste.

Do you offer special discounts?

We offer discounts for OAPs and people who suffer disabilities which make it harder for them to clean up their dogs waste. From time to time we may offer special discounts to all of our customers. We will keep you updated with our home page news feed and our alternative news feed.

Can you clean with my dogs in the yard?

We don't mind your dogs being in the area that we are cleaning at the time, as long as they are friendly. If your dogs are aggressive though and don't like strangers, we would ask you to keep them away while we are cleaning your property.

Does bad weather stop you from providing the service?

No! We work in any weather conditions. There may be certain circumstances times when we cannot travel due to extreme weather conditions such as heavy snow. In this case, we may have to postpone or cancel a visit. Please note that you will not be charged for any cancelled visits.
